So, there are words and phrases out there that can make a person want to literally chew through a steel cable. Like, actually do something drastic rather than just spout hyperbole. Language isn’t hard, people! I mean, it’s not rocket surgery!

Lordy, I do love me a bourbon drink. And I love elderflower liqueur also. And since I discovered THIS incredible intoxicant, it’s been on the top of my recommendation list. It’s becoming a go-to at home as well. It goes down easy, like that slutty, (erm…well traveled?) Golden Girl that shares it’s…Blanche Devereaux
Ingredients-
1 oz Bulleit bourbon
1/2 oz St. Germain elderflower liqueur
1/2 oz fresh juice from 1 lemon
1/2 oz simple syrup (see note)
3-ish oz sparkling wine
Garnish: large mint leaf
Instructions-
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice and add bourbon, St. Germain, lemon juice, and simple syrup. Strain into an ice-filled highball glass. Top with sparkling wine and garnish with mint leaf.
