Seriously though, I wonder what kind of childhood Roald Dahl actually had? He seems to have been at least a mildly disturbed dude. That said, he enriched my childhood a lot. I loved his books!
The good news this week is, as you’ll learn, is that at least I’m going to heaven. I think if you try this drink, which is curiously strong, you may begin to believe you’re already there. Truly, this will sneak up on you, I know it did on us!
Blackberry Bourbon Tea Tippler
Ingredients
2 oz bourbon (recommendation AE rye or Bulleit)
2 oz chilled Earl Grey Tea
1 oz simple syrup
1 oz lemon juice
2 blackberries
Optional- 3/4 oz St George Spiced Pear liqueur
Instructions
Muddle blackberry and SS. Add bourbon, tea, lemon & pear liqueur (if using). Strain through mesh strainer into rocks glass with a big old rock. Garnish with sprig of rosemary and a blackberry.
