Episode 72 - Glögg and Nog
This week, where we talk Christmas past, Christmas drinks, and Christmas present(s)! But come and hear all you never wanted to know about nerd naming, #2020amiright, and the history of Nordic mulled wine. Seriously - A LOT of history about Nordic mulled wine. An epic amount. Way more than you ever wanted to know. Like, you’ll probably think “OMG why do I know so much about Nordic mulled wine now?” but you never know when it might come in handy.
You know how Gina is. And we love her anyway, right?
So here’s the sitch. I REALLY wanted to do eggnog because first of all, YUM and second of all, what’s more holiday-esque than freakin’ eggnog? But no. Gina was all, “Let’s do some sort of mulled wine?”. IMHO, really, some wine is fine but red wine hurts my head and blah blah, whatever. Plus I’m thinking, hot wine? WTF? No thanks. I used store bought eggnog because it’s way easier and holidays are about being lazy.
In the end, we thought we could best serve our listeners by providing TWO drink options. Even if one had to be glögg. Hope you like at least one of these!
