Episode 9 - Laundry Tiaras and Medusa Decor
Gillian begged for a break from gin, so we are briefly switching to rum, because we both had some on hand. We WILL come back for more gin later, at least a couple more times, mostly because we're both still stuck with a bunch of gin (anyone need some Tanqueray?) and kind of want to find a gin cocktail that Jill won’t think is gross. We also have talked about our affinity for Mojitos before, and so we decided this would be an easy one to try.
The Classic Mojito
After me begging for a break from gin, we are briefly switching to rum, because we both had some on hand. I promise we will come back for more gin later, at least a couple more times, mostly because I’m still stuck with a bunch of gin and kind of want to find a gin cocktail that I don’t think is gross. We also have talked about our affinity for Mojitos before, and so we decided this would be an easy one to try.
Ingredients-
2 oz white rum
1 oz lime juice
1 oz simple syrup
fresh mint (some?)
club soda
Instructions-
Muddle (that means smash) the mint in the bottom of your shaker with a little bit of simple syrup. Add lime juice and rum to the cocktail shaker along with ice and shake until chilled (at least another 30 seconds). Strain into a highball glass. Top with club soda and enjoy.
