Episode 45 - Podcasting for Amateurs
The one where drunk bees are Gina’s mood.
You ever listen to a really great podcast and wonder, “oooh, how did they DO that?” If so, sorry to disappoint you, but we’re only going to talk about how we do ours. But we think it’s fun!
Blackberry Bourbon Sour
I know some people think you can’t drink ‘brown’ spirits when it’s warm. Oh you poor, sad, deluded people. Bourbon, rye, whiskey, scotch…all of this is forever. This cocktail should help illustrate just how beautiful and summery a brown spirit can be. Fresh blackberries combined with fresh lemon just makes everything taste refreshing, light and even summery.
Ingredients-
1.5 ounces of bourbon
1 ounce of lemon juice
½ ounce of simple syrup
5 blackberries plus more for garnish
Instructions-
Fill cocktail shaker with bourbon, lemon juice, simple syrup, blackberries, and ice. Shake mixture, then strain into serving glass. Garnish with extra blackberries.
