One website called this a “jewel toned sipper” but really it should be called more of a “reddish-fuck-you-up-juice”. The former is more eloquent and elegant, but the latter is more accurate. Personally, I feel like the clear liquors like vodka sneak up on me more than the darker liquors like bourbon. Those bring a gradual, easy buzz. Clear booze, I’m sober until -BAM- I’m not sober. This lovely cocktail is super simple to make, you can use whatever booze you have on hand and make a fantastic bevvy that will carry you through the summer. I can totally see sipping this sucker by the pool this summer. Count on that. This is the shit.
Ingredients-
2 oz vodka (we used Absolut Elyx)
1 oz lime juice (fresh is best…always)
1 oz simple syrup (Barsmith of course)
1 T Blackberry Jam
Instructions-
Combine everything in the cocktail shaker. Shake vigorously. Strain into a glass with crushed ice and drink up! YUM! (Seriously, yum.)
